You get the weekly groceries at home for a resident who can no longer do this himself and whose help is not possible from their own environment.

Detailed description

What are you doing?

  1. Together with the resident you agree which groceries you will do where and when.
  2. You also agree on how the payment is arranged (you never take a debit card from the resident).
  3. Then you pick up the groceries at the supermarket and bring them back. If necessary, you will also help with clearing the groceries.
  4. You go home with a satisfied feeling ;-)

What do we ask?

You are friendly, loyal, reliable and available for an hour once a week. We ask all volunteers who visit residents' homes to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (free of charge).

What do we offer?

The Volunteer Center Wageningen is a friendly club with 3 part-time employees and many volunteers. You are part of the on-call team. This team consists of volunteers who deal with various requests for help, including shopping.

You can always fall back on one of the part-time employees for questions or signals.

Twice a year we organize an appreciation activity for all volunteers.
