Summary

During the National Nature Work Days on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November you can help with the maintenance of the area around De Bosbeek

Detailed description

The Natuurvriendenhuis De Bosbeek is the accommodation of NIVON in the Renkums Beekdal near Bennekom, run entirely by volunteers. Around the house lies a forest of several hectares, which recently received the status of archaeological national monument.

The aim is to improve biodiversity; by combating unwanted exotic species and by planting native species of trees and shrubs, and everything that needs to be done around this.

To give nature a helping hand, we perform all kinds of activities throughout the year. We could really use some help this weekend.

Please register in advance, in connection with the soup at lunchtime, with Dick Bos: [email protected] , telephone: 0318-769307.

Getting there

The location is not accessible by public transport. The nearest stop for the 'haltetaxi' (https://haltetaxi.rrreis.nl) is another km walk.

About De Bosbeek

Close to Bennekom in the Veluwe, not far from Ede, Wageningen and Renkum, you will find nature friends house De Bosbeek, part of NIVON. It is a non-profit organization run by members. Nivon has 13 nature friends houses in the Netherlands, a number of camping grounds and cottages and organizes overnight stays, trips and activities for and by people with a green and social heart. De Bosbeek is the largest nature house in the Netherlands. The house is located in the middle of the forest and is therefore a good base for beautiful walks and bike rides. It is managed by volunteers. In addition to individual guests or smaller groups (families), groups such as schools, dance groups or large families often stay at De Bosbeek and various activities take place, ranging from writing courses to guided walks.
