Who wants to go to the moon with a four-year-old boy?

For a loving and slightly chaotic family, we are looking for a creative support family where their four-year-old oldest son can explore and play on weekends. He has just become a big brother.

His parents have been going through a tough time for a long while. Their friends don't have children (yet), and family doesn't live nearby. Additionally, the father works on weekends, and on those days, their mother takes care of the two little ones alone. A spot for this soon-to-be preschooler on Saturday or Sunday where he can play for a few hours would be very welcome.

This sweet and sociable boy loves helping his parents take care of his little brother. He loves to chat and has a vivid imagination. This little boy is a creative at heart: from LEGO to everything he finds in and around the house. For instance, he recently turned the drying rack into a real rocket by draping a blanket over it!

Do you have the time and inclination to do creative things with this boy?

We are looking for a nice support family in Wageningen;

  • Where this little boy is welcome on Saturday or Sunday (for part of a day) to play, build, and participate in the dynamics of another family;
  • Where he can discover together with another child;
  • That stimulates children in their creativity and role-play.

Details:

This mother would enjoy having a cup of tea together occasionally to exchange experiences, brainstorm, or simply for the company.

Would you like more information?

Then you can contact Marisca van der Hoeven, Buurtgezinnen coordinator for the municipality of Wageningen, via [email protected] or call: 06-47 81 53 15.

About Buurtgezinnen

Neighborhood families is an initiative based on an old idea: we do parenting together. Families who are struggling (demand families) are linked to a warm and stable family in the neighborhood (support families). This way children get some extra love and attention and parents are relieved for a while. The help is everyday and friendly. Demand and support families make agreements about support under the supervision of the Neighborhood Families coordinator.
