For the Freedomrun Wageningen, we are looking for volunteers to cheer on participants along the course and ensure a safe environment.

The Freedom Run Wageningen is a running event organized for the benefit of Stichting Kind en Kans, which enables children from low-income families to participate in school activities. Everyone is welcome to run for freedom and a future where no child is left on the sidelines.

There are four distances: 5, 10, 15, and 21 km. The start and finish are at Visum Mundi. The 5 and 10 km course runs around the Wageningse Berg. The 15 and 21 km course runs via Renkum and a section of Ede (see freedomrunwageningen.nl).

We are looking for volunteers to stand along the course to encourage participants and to ensure the runners' safety by alerting other users of the walking and cycling paths to the runners where necessary.

The briefing for volunteers begins on Sunday, May 17th, at 10:00 AM at Visum Mundi. You will be recognizable as a volunteer by a Freedomrun vest. We will provide a packed lunch. The run starts at 11:00 AM. Please ensure you arrive at your designated point on the course on time using your bicycle. After the last runner finishes, please clean up any litter in your surroundings, and your task is complete. You can hand in your vest and waste at Visum Mundi, where a drink will also be provided as a thank you for your efforts.
