Heart Foundation Wageningen Collection District Head: allocating the collection area, finding/binding collectors, distributing/collecting materials, financial settlement
Heart Foundation Collection District Manager in Wageningen for various districts in Wageningen, such as Kortenoord, Tuinwijk, and Haverlanden. Dividing the collection area, recruiting and retaining collectors, distributing/collecting materials, financial settlement, and administration.
Job description:
The first week of April is the national fundraising week of the Heart Foundation. In Wageningen, we are looking for a district coordinator for the districts of Kortenoord, Tuinwijk, and Haverlanden.
Tasks include: dividing the collection area (creating walking routes). This is done online using CollecteWeb. The district head has direct contact with the collectors in his or her district and is therefore also the first point of contact for the collectors.
Distributing/collecting materials (collection box). Financial settlement and administration. After the collection week, the district head ensures that all collection boxes from his or her district are collected, counts the money together with the collector, and ensures that the total proceeds are delivered to the collection organizer in Wageningen.
Together with the collection organizer and the other district heads in Wageningen, an evaluation is conducted after the collection week. The team currently consists of three people. Everyone is a district head for one or more districts in Wageningen. Everyone also collects donations themselves during the collection week, but this is not mandatory. The collection organizer is also a district head. District heads can turn to their collection organizer and other district heads for guidance and advice.
Job requirements:
Be reliable, presentable, friendly, and patient. Be good at dealing with people, motivating them, and retaining them for the organization. Have access to a computer or laptop and an internet connection, as administration is handled online via CollecteWeb.
What do you have to offer the volunteer?
Guidance by the collection organizer and the other district heads in Wageningen. A great team, with several years of experience as district heads. Volunteering for a good cause and gaining experience in organizing and communicating in your own community.
What makes the work worthwhile?
Contact with collectors. Together with the district heads, achieve the best possible coverage of the collection in Wageningen, with the aim of maximizing the collection proceeds for the Heart Foundation.
Working hours:
No fixed working days; schedule yourself. Meetings are scheduled in consultation.
It takes 2 or 3 evenings throughout the year for meetings (1.5 to 2 hours) with the collection organizer and the other district heads.
Additionally, in the period from February to April (before the collection week), a total of 2 half-days to prepare for the collection (dividing districts, contacting collectors, distributing materials, and issuing the collection boxes to the collectors).
After the collection week, two half-days for receiving and counting the proceeds with the collector and for administrative processing. You determine when this takes place in consultation with the collectors.
