Summary
For the construction of an interior space, we are looking for help with the construction of the foundation (digging trenches, pouring cement) and with the timber frame construction plus advice on window frames.Detailed description
We want to create an interior space of 50m2. At the moment there is already a canopy of 20m2. We are going to enlarge this to 50m2 and close it all around. We are looking for hands for the (heavy) work as well as people who can give us advice about, among other things, placing frames and doors.
There are several jobs where we can use help:
- For the foundation, strip foundation still needs to be laid between the already placed piles. For this, trenches need to be dug in which concrete is poured.
- Then a Douglas fir frame is built. For this we are looking for help with placing the columns, beams, ring beams and roof trusses.
- We are looking for people who can give us advice on installing frames and doors, plus possibly help with the execution (but these do not have to be the same people)
- Excavate approximately 1 additional meter on 1 long side of the interior space to be able to open the doors and make it fully wheelchair accessible.
- construction of a ground retaining wall around the site.
- construction of a green roof.
We are currently working on the permit application. We want to start the foundation and the preparations for the timber frame construction in the short term.
We want to have everything completed before May 2025, the start of the new picking season.
In addition to building the interior space, we are also busy preparing the picking garden for the new picking season. We divide our time between building and working in the garden. Times in consultation.
