We are looking for volunteers who want to drive the (electric) Witkar (a type of bus) and relieve our volunteers of the burden of loading and unloading wheelchairs.
Every Sunday, there is a meaning-making gathering or celebration at the park. These are held in the church on our park. The gatherings have a different character every week. Everyone is welcome just as they are. Many clients come to the gathering independently. Some are picked up and brought back to the ward by volunteers.
Detailed job description
We are looking for volunteers to drive the (electric) Witkar (a type of bus) and to relieve our volunteers of the burden of loading and unloading wheelchairs. It involves two short trips: from the department to the church in the park. On average, this involves 3 wheelchairs and a number of walkers.
What kind of knowledge or skills are needed?
You need a driver's license and will receive a short course from us on driving the Witkar.
Rolling the wheelchairs in and out requires some physical strength.
