As a volunteer at COSA you play an important role in the re-entry of sex offenders into society.
Job description:
How do we make our environment safer together? And what is the best approach? As a volunteer at COSA you play an important role in the re-entry of sex offenders into society. In a team (= circle) of three to five volunteers you guide one client together. By maintaining contact with this client, you prevent them from ending up in social isolation, so that a relapse can be prevented. You offer a listening ear and undertake activities together. Another important part of your task is to discuss signals with the professional (= circle coordinator COSA) who also supports you. Before you start, you will receive thorough training and during the process you will receive additional training and coaching.
Job requirements:
You are unbiased, reliable and have good communication skills. You treat our clients with respect and you can discuss what strikes you in contact with the client. You are available for at least four hours a week for a period of at least eighteen months.
What do you have to offer the volunteer ?:
Intensive guidance by circle coordinator (who is available 24/7 by phone).
Working time:
In consultation. Workload is a meeting once a week and a consultation once every 3 months.
