Matchmaker AutoMaatje Wageningen

As a matchmaker, you answer the phone when someone calls looking for transportation, you assess the participant's preferences, and enter them into the matching system.

ANWB Automaatje is a social project of the ANWB. In Wageningen, it is implemented by Solidez Welzijn.

The people who can make use of AutoMaatje are people who are less mobile (this may be due to old age or illness) and cannot arrange their necessary transport themselves. Participants call at least 2 working days in advance with their transport request. The Matchmaker is tasked with finding a driver/volunteer for the transport request.

As a matchmaker, you will answer the phone when someone calls looking for transport, assess the participant's preferences, and enter them into the matching system. Next, you will make the 'match' by calling one of the drivers who is willing to drive. To do this, as a matchmaker, you will use the ANWB AutoMaatje registration system.

You keep track of the schedule in an easy-to-use system used by all Matchmakers in the Netherlands. Naturally, we will provide guidance with this and help you get started.

You maintain contact with the drivers and the participants. You ask how a first ride went, but there is also room for a friendly chat.

Required knowledge and skills:

- good communication skills

- good social skills;

- a healthy dose of patience.

- you can use a computer

- you can work independently

- you enjoy calling participants and volunteers and connecting them

- the matchmaker is available one morning per week from 10 am to 12 pm at the location in Wageningen
