Do you enjoy cooking and do you like working with children? Then we are looking for you!
For Kinderwerk in Wageningen, we are looking for someone to set up and lead a second children's cooking club. During the cooking club, children get to work together on tasty, simple, and fun recipes. Of course, it is not just about cooking: having fun together, working as a team, and discovering new things are central.
We are looking for someone who enjoys independently supervising a cooking activity for children (with the help of volunteers). You don't need to be a professional chef. We consider experience with cooking and/or experience working with children more important. Enthusiasm, patience, and creativity are just as important!
What are you going to do?
- You supervise a group of children during the cooking club.
- You come up with fun and achievable recipes together with us.
- You go grocery shopping and prepare for the cooking activity.
- You ensure that the children can cook in a safe and enjoyable way.
- You teach children how to handle ingredients, cook, and work together in a fun way.
- You take care of cleaning up afterwards together with the children.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
- has experience with cooking and/or enjoys cooking;
- enjoys working with children;
- is enthusiastic, patient and creative;
- can independently supervise an activity;
- enjoys teaching children something new;
- handles safety and hygiene responsibly.
A pedagogical background or professional cooking experience is not required. Perhaps you are an enthusiastic home cook, have experience with children, work in education or childcare, or simply really enjoy cooking with children!
