Help status holders (mostly women) learn to ride a bicycle, just like almost everyone in the Netherlands can. It increases their self-esteem, range, and chances of finding work.

Patiently teach the basics of cycling to status holders (refugees with a residence permit living in Wageningen).

What are you going to do?

Many status holders (mostly women) have never cycled before. We teach them the basics of cycling (gaining balance on a balance bike, learning further cycling skills on a training bike). To do this, we use a training course with exercises, developed in collaboration with Wielervereniging Ede. We always conduct the lesson with a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 volunteers.

What do we ask of you?

Able to ride a bicycle. Weekly attendance. Patience and the ability to interact with non-native speakers. Only English-speaking volunteers are also welcome.

What do we have to offer you?

We will explain our working methods to you, and you can participate a few times on a trial basis.

What makes the work worthwhile?

It is educational and fun to get to know each other's culture. Newcomers are happy when they can ride a bike; it increases their self-esteem and enables them to participate better in our society.

Working hours

We are looking for extra help on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30.
