Do you enjoy working with toddlers? Then come play with our toddlers at the asylum seekers' center. We're currently urgently (!!!) looking for someone for Friday mornings.

About the toddler group ("the Kido") at the AZC/POL Bosrandweg

Toddlers are welcome to come play in the mornings (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM). We have a lovely play area with toys and a fantastic group of volunteers.

The number of toddlers varies greatly, sometimes 3 or 4, sometimes 8 or 9 toddlers.

Two volunteers supervise the group every morning, sometimes with help from a resident of the asylum seekers' center. The toddlers don't speak or understand Dutch, so we communicate with "hands and feet."

Our goal is to give the children a pleasant morning and ensure they feel safe and comfortable. It's also comforting for parents to leave their children's care to us for a while.

It's always very pleasant, time flies by.

What do we do:

Playing with toys, singing songs, making music, doing puzzles, playing with clay, drawing, painting. But also cycling and playing outside (in the sandbox), playing football...

For toddlers who find it exciting, parents are always welcome to stay with them for as long as necessary.

Times

We'd love to have volunteers, especially on Tuesday mornings. Possibly once every two weeks on Friday mornings. Working hours are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The toddler group is open during school weeks. It's closed during school holidays.
