Summary

Help status holders (often women) to learn to cycle, like almost everyone in the Netherlands can. It increases their self-esteem, range of action and chances of finding work.

Detailed description

Patiently teach refugees the basics of cycling.

Job description:

Many refugees have never cycled. We teach them the basics of cycling (getting balance on the balance bike, learning further cycling agility on the training bike). For this we use a course with exercises from Pedaleren.nl. We always teach with a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 volunteers.

Job requirements:

Being able to cycle yourself. Patience and being able to deal with non-native speakers. Only English-speaking volunteers are also welcome

What do you have to offer the volunteer ?:

You will receive an explanation of our working method and you can participate a few times on a trial basis.

What makes the work worthwhile ?:

It is educational and fun to get to know each other's culture. Newcomers are happy when they can cycle.

Working time:

Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. You can participate at a fixed time or register at a time.
