Simple Dutch language education for refugees on the asylum boat

With a group of volunteers we provide Dutch lessons on the asylum boat every Wednesday and Thursday, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. We are looking for reinforcement for Thursday morning.

Refugees on the asylum boat have often only recently arrived in the Netherlands. Language teaching is therefore very simple. For example, you practice with the alphabet, sounds, telling time and simple sentences. You don't have to be a Dutch teacher to do that! You are usually on the boat with one or two other teachers (each with their own group) and sample material is available. Teaching people from different cultures calls on your ability to improvise!

The residents come to class voluntarily and are motivated to learn Dutch, so fun and rewarding work! Excited or have any questions? Feel free to send a message.
