Summary

In Kasteelwinkel Annebetje you fulfill three different functions: ticket sales, castle shop and the tearoom.

Detailed description

What are you going to do:

Kasteelwinkel Annebetje is the calling card of Kasteel Amerongen and is located in the Oranjerie at the front of the site. As a volunteer in Kasteelwinkel Annebetje you are the first (and often also the last) point of contact for our visitors. It and the place where people buy their ticket, get information, but also find a nice souvenir, a nice present and drink a nice cup of coffee or tea on the terrace.

We are looking for volunteers who, together with the team present, want to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the castle shop.

The activities consist of:

· sale of entrance tickets;

explain the house rules, route to the castle, garden and restaurant;

· provision of tourist information about the Heuvelrug;

· sale of coffee/tea with goodies;

selling products in the store and sometimes wrapping them as gifts;

keep the store tidy and tidy; refill from stock;

What we ask:

· you are available at least one day a week, preferably during the weekend;

· you are hospitable, collegial, stress-resistant and flexible;

· you work independently, accurately and dare to take initiative;

· you speak Dutch and English, (German is an advantage);

Familiarity with cash register systems is an advantage.

You will hear further details at an introduction afternoon on Sunday 19 March at 2.30 pm.

What we offer:

  • work in a beautiful environment
  • enthusiastic volunteer group
  • introduction afternoon and training
  • participation in field trips and lectures
  • four times a year a seasonal drink
  • discount in the castle shop
  • a lot of fun

Time commitment:

Because routine and experience are of great importance, we ask for a minimum commitment of one part of the day per week. Of course more is always possible. We are now mainly looking for volunteers for weekends, but that can grow to weekdays.

Enthusiastic?

Go to our website, look at news and sign up for the non-binding introduction afternoon on Sunday 19 March 2023 or during an introduction by appointment.
