We are still looking for people for various grounds maintenance and maintenance in the vegetable gardens and high-stem orchard.
On Monday and Thursday mornings, the volunteers of the High-Stem Brigade meet at 9:30. This working group is responsible for various maintenance tasks on the grounds of the Renkums Beekdal Foundation. This involves the maintenance of a fruit orchard. There are various varieties of (old) apple, pear, plum, and cherry trees. Several berry bushes can also be found. At different times of the year, these are pruned, harvested, and various other maintenance activities take place.
When there is a little less work to be done on the trees and shrubs, the high-stem brigade takes care of the vegetable gardens and other grounds maintenance. Naturally, there is time for a cup of coffee (or water/tea), a chat, and a cookie from the neighbors (Boscafé de Beken). The morning wraps up at 11:30/12:00.
It is helpful if you have a green thumb and/or experience, but this is not a requirement. The current members will gladly teach you the tricks of the trade. In addition, regular invitations are sent out for courses/training that you can participate in.

Our high-stem brigade maintains the yard and takes care of the apple trees and garden. The guides lead walks to inform our visitors about the beautiful nature and unique cultural history. The nature and environment education team supervises school children during excursions. In our visitor centre there is a lot to see about history and there is a changing nature-related exhibition. We have a regional shop for nice gifts, cards, cuddly toys and much more.
