Summary

The employee of the Visitor Centre of the Renkums Beekdal Foundation welcomes visitors, provides information about the walks and sells gifts.

Detailed description

What are you going to do?

The employee welcomes visitors. He/she provides information about nature and culture in the Renkums Beekdal and about the possibilities for walking and cycling there. The volunteer also sells nature gifts/books. The volunteer works together with a colleague.

What are we asking?

We expect our Visitor Centre employees to: - be service-oriented and have a feel for dealing with guests. - be interested in the nature and culture of the Renkums Beekdal. - like to show visitors, including the youngest ones, the way in the Beekdal. - enjoy telling visitors about the Beekdal. - be willing to learn about the Beekdal.

The staff team

If you are not yet familiar with the work, you will get a buddy who will teach you everything. Such as welcoming visitors. Explaining the possibilities for walking. Paying for the products in the shop. You tell (grand)parents with children about walking the gnome path and dream tree path. There is also always an exhibition in the nature information centre that you can draw visitors' attention to.

The working hours in the Visitor Center

The working hours are according to a schedule. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 13-17 and on Saturday and Sunday there is a morning and afternoon shift from 10-17. In the winter months you work shorter, then we close at 16.

Good to know

You may do this work while retaining benefits, but you must report/discuss it with your benefits agency. If you have been out of the work process for a while and want to gain experience with us and build up a work rhythm again, we are certainly open to that.

Test run

Will you say 'yes' to this recruitment campaign right away or would you rather see what it is like in practice first? That is possible. You can make an appointment to work with us for an afternoon and experience whether the work suits you. For an introductory meeting, you can email the general address [email protected] or call 0317 318 183 (during opening hours).

If you would like to join the team as a volunteer, we would be delighted to welcome you.

About Stichting Renkums Beekdal

Around the Renkums Beekdal visitor centre it is wonderful to stay in nature. From the centre there is plenty to do. There is a water playground, gnome path, the start of two clog paths and other walks and cycle tours. The visitor centre is a place for education, cooperation and meeting. Our high-stem brigade maintains the yard and takes care of the apple trees and garden. The guides lead walks to inform our visitors about the beautiful nature and unique cultural history. The nature and environment education team supervises school children during excursions. In our visitor centre there is a lot to see about history and there is a changing nature-related exhibition. We have a regional shop for nice gifts, cards, cuddly toys and much more.
