Detailed description

At Stadsboerderij you volunteer 1 or 2 shifts per month. Each shift is 4 hours. You care for the animals, keep the farm tidy, and you welcome visitors.


What you will do

  • Feed the animals, provide fresh water, and do daily care
  • Clean and check animal enclosures
  • Keep the grounds and public areas clean and tidy
  • Welcome visitors and answer questions
  • Report any animal welfare concerns to the team


Who we are looking for

  • You are calm, friendly, and clear when speaking with children and visitors
  • You work neatly and you are physically able to do tasks such as lifting, sweeping, and cleaning
  • You are reliable and keep your commitments
  • Experience with animals is a plus, but not required
  • You speak Dutch or English
  • A VOG is required. Stadsboerderij will arrange this for you free of charge

Working hours and planning

  • Saturday or Sunday
  • Morning shift 09:00 to 13:00
  • Afternoon shift 12:30 to 16:30
  • 1 or 2 shifts per month, total 4 to 8 hours per month
  • You share your availability. A volunteer creates the schedule based on preferences
