As a board member for acquisitions, you are committed to fundraising for projects in Uganda.

You are responsible for gathering information about project plans and progress, drafting project proposals and reports, and submitting these to the relevant endowment funds or funding organizations .


You present the foundation and the projects in Uganda to organizations and funds in the form of texts and possibly presentations.


This role also includes identifying eligible organizations and funds and maintaining contact with these organizations and funds.


You'll do this in collaboration with the other board member responsible for acquisitions and the acquisition committee. You'll set up and chair this process together.


You'll also handle incidental administrative tasks . There's also plenty of room for you to contribute your own ideas .


Desired qualities of an acquisition board member:

  • Interest in development issues and/or deafness.
  • Can take responsibility.
  • Motivated, independent working and taking initiative.
  • Can work well in a team and adheres to deadlines and agreements.
  • Can speak and write English well.
  • Enjoys developing project ideas with the Ugandan partner.
  • Is a social person with an interest in networking and making contacts.
  • Is enthusiastic about building school buildings in Uganda.


Enjoys writing and presenting project proposals.
