Are you the local connector with a passion for charity?

Are you a creative storyteller who knows how to capture the magic of second-hand shopping in engaging content? Terre des Hommes is looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Officer to bring our shop to life online.

Our shop is more than a place for second-hand gems; it is a meeting place where we fight against child exploitation together. With your creative posts, inspiring visuals, and interactive campaigns, you help build our online community and increase our impact.

What are you going to do?

As a Social Media Employee, you are the creative driving force behind our online channels (such as Instagram and Facebook).

  • Content creation: You develop inspiring texts, photos, and videos that showcase the unique atmosphere of our store and the value of second-hand items.
  • Community building: You manage our channels, respond proactively and courteously to customer inquiries, and build a loyal online community.
  • Strategy: You execute the social media strategy (in accordance with TdH guidelines) and ensure a constant stream of fun, informative, and connecting content.
  • Collaboration: You work with the team to put campaigns and promotions in the spotlight and explore opportunities with local partners or influencers.

Who are you?

  • You are creative, have strong communication skills, and know how to get people excited on social media.
  • You have experience managing business or creative social media channels.
  • You see the beauty in the little things and can translate this into flawless 'short copy'.
  • You have a passion for sustainability and reuse.
  • You are available for a few hours a week.

What do we offer you?

  • Meaningful work: An inspiring role in which your creativity directly contributes to the fight against child exploitation.
  • Room for talent: The opportunity to further develop your skills in content creation, photography, and social media strategy at a well-known organization.
  • Camaraderie: You will become part of a warm, driven team of volunteers working together for a better world.
  • Impact: You get the freedom to put our store on the map in a lighthearted and relevant way, where you have direct influence on the visibility and success of our mission.

Excited?

Let's make our store shine online together!
