As a swimming instructor, you offer people who cannot exercise independently a sporty and enjoyable swimming hour at De Bongerd swimming pool.

Member of the swimming team

WAAG is looking for new supervisors for our swimming groups at De Bongerd. Whether you have an evening to spare or want to start the weekend with energy on Saturday, you are welcome as a volunteer on one of our swimming teams. Whether you can come every week or less often, it is all possible in consultation.

Together with a group of volunteers, we ensure that WAAG is the place where everyone who needs guidance can enjoy swimming. All year round, but not during the summer, Christmas, and May holidays.

Will you become a volunteer for one of our swimming teams?

Are you ready to become part of something sporty and inspiring as a volunteer at WAAG? Then you can join our swimming groups at De Bongerd on

Tuesday evening from 19:15 - 20:15

Wednesday evening from 18:45 to 20:00

Saturday morning from 9:45 to 10:45.

What can you go do?

  • Guiding the participants: from practicing together to making people feel comfortable in the water. Or playing a game together or just relaxing in the hot tub.
  • Creative coaching: the swimmers discover the joy of moving in the water together with you.
  • Strong together: together with your teammates, you ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely, both for the participants in the water and while supervising from the shore.
  • Feedback is your friend: it is pleasant to work together within the team, and you help each other ensure everything runs smoothly.

Who are we looking for?

Warm-hearted people who enjoy working with people who need extra attention to be able to participate in sports. Are you someone who

  • knows how important sociability and having fun are,
  • is flexible and willing to think along about what the participants need to have fun in the water,
  • who is available for 1.5 to 2 hours as a swimming instructor?

Then we would love to get to know you!

What do we offer you?

  • Fun and meaningful volunteer work as a swimming instructor
  • A place in a small volunteer team
  • The opportunity to use your creativity and ideas
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and make social connections
  • A sporty hour where you also work on your own fitness.

Are you excited, do you want to know more, or come and take a look?

Then please contact Martine. You can ask her all your questions about this position and sign up to come and take a look.

She can be reached via [email protected] or 06 13 03 51 15
