We are looking for a teacher of basic drawing skills. It involves giving a course to adults for 6, 7 or 8 weeks, once or twice a year
About us
Het Gelders Palet is an association of amateur painters and draftsmen at every level. Its own studio is located at Kamerlingh Onnesstraat 1 in Wageningen. Members can work freely there during open studios and various drawing and painting courses are given. Exhibitions are organized regularly.
What are you going to do?
We are looking for a teacher for a basic drawing skills course of 6, 7 or 8 weekly half days (2.5 hours) in the fall and/or spring. It concerns material knowledge and use, perspective, light and dark, objects such as a sphere, drawing to 3-D object, etc.
The time and duration of a course are determined in consultation each time. The group size varies from 6 to 12 participants. The teacher determines the subjects and method. Usually the teacher gives a short introduction with a demonstration, after which the participants get to work. At the end the work is often discussed. The courses are given in the studio of Het Gelders Palet.
What are we asking?
Good knowledge and skills in drawing and as a teacher. Ability to work independently and work well together.
The membership consists of women and men, some of whom are of advanced age. It also concerns a group of young people, including a number of foreigners. Therefore, some knowledge of the English language is an advantage.
What do we have to offer you?
Participation in a fun and creative association, and a volunteer allowance for the drawing courses to be provided.
What makes the work worthwhile?
It can be stimulating to see how members are enthusiastically drawing and making progress. The atmosphere is relaxed and interactive.
