As a legal volunteer within the VOD team, you support people without a residence permit in finding a sustainable solution for their situation.
Vluchteling Onder Dak is a small-scale organization in Wageningen that is wholeheartedly dedicated to refugees whose first asylum application has been rejected. We support these people in finding a sustainable solution to their situation. This can be done, for example, by exploring legal options in the Netherlands, such as an appeal or a repeated asylum application.
For this work, we are looking for a Legal Volunteer .
Tasks and responsibilities
- Investigating and analyzing legal files
- Mapping out points of reference for residence
- Collecting and organizing relevant evidence
- Providing legal advice to undocumented people
- Consulting on files with colleagues and lawyers
We are looking for someone who:
- Preferably has knowledge of Dutch law, such as administrative law and/or immigration law
- Has an affinity with refugees, undocumented people, and with the work of Vluchteling Onder Dak
- Can express yourself well in writing and enjoys working in a team
- Is flexible and available on an on-call basis
