Summary
Do you think it is important that asylum seekers are well prepared for their asylum procedure? Then come and provide them with information and personal guidance.Detailed description
What are you going to do?
VluchtelingenWerk is an independent advocacy organization that represents the interests of people who apply for asylum in the Netherlands.
Volunteers provide asylum seekers with information about the Dutch asylum procedure and Dutch policy to prepare asylum seekers as best as possible for their procedure. We explain the various organizations involved and explain the steps in the procedure and Dutch policy. We guide asylum seekers in legal and social areas. We support people individually, so if desired we can discuss their personal situation and reason for fleeing. We also offer support if people want to have evidence submitted. We use an interpreter over the telephone for most conversations.
What are we asking?
We are looking for committed people with a down-to-earth attitude, HBO thinking level, who are available for at least 2 half-days a week. No legal knowledge is necessary! Dutch, English and preferably other languages.
What do we have to offer you?
VluchtelingenWerk Oost Nederland offers professional guidance, an induction program, a training offer, expense reimbursement and an interesting workplace.
