Do you think it is important that asylum seekers are well prepared for their asylum procedure? Come and give them information and personal guidance.

What are you going to do?

VluchtelingenWerk is an independent advocacy organization that stands up for the interests of people applying for asylum in the Netherlands.

Volunteers provide asylum seekers with information about the Dutch asylum procedure and Dutch policy in order to prepare asylum seekers as well as possible for their procedure. We provide information about the various organisations involved and explain the steps in the procedure and Dutch policy. We guide asylum seekers in the legal and social-societal areas. We support people individually, for example, if desired, we discuss their personal situation and reason for flight. We also offer support if people want to have evidence transferred. We use an interpreter over the phone for most conversations.

What are we asking?

We are looking for committed people with a down-to-earth attitude, HBO level of thinking, who are available for at least 2 half days per week. Legal knowledge is not necessary! Dutch, English and preferably other languages.

What do we have to offer you?

VluchtelingenWerk Oost Nederland offers professional guidance, an induction program, a training program, an expense allowance and an interesting workplace.

What makes the work worthwhile?

You stand up for the rights of refugees. You help them build a new life in the Netherlands. VluchtelingenWerk stands for humanity and the right to live in safety.

Working hours

On working days. At least two half days a week.
