We are looking for volunteers who prepare asylum seekers for their asylum procedure through information and personal guidance.
Job description:
The Dutch Council for Refugees is an independent advocacy organization that defends the interests of people who apply for asylum in the Netherlands. The volunteers provide asylum seekers with information about the Dutch asylum procedure and Dutch policy in order to prepare the asylum seekers as well as possible for their procedure. We explain the various organizations involved and we explain the steps in the procedure and the Dutch policy. We guide asylum seekers in the legal and social field. We support people individually, so we can discuss their personal situation and reason for escape if desired. In addition, we offer support if people want to submit evidence. We use an interpreter over the telephone for most calls.Job requirements:
We are looking for committed people with a down-to-earth attitude, HBO thinking level, who are available at least 2 half-days per week. No legal prior knowledge is required! Dutch, English and preferably other languagesWhat do you have to offer the volunteer ?:

We support our partner organizations at the borders of Europe in the reception and protection of refugees.
