Summary

As an employment coach, you help crystallize the entrepreneurial dream of a refugee who would like to start his or her own business.

Detailed description

Are you a bridge builder? Do you want to help a newcomer who wants to start their own business get started?

Then we are looking for you. A new group of 'entrepreneurial' newcomers will start in mid-November, who, in addition to group training in entrepreneurship in the Netherlands, will receive support from a job coach.

What are you going to do?

As an employment coach you help crystallize the entrepreneurial dream. You do this, among other things, by supervising the homework during the training. Together you will investigate what steps are needed to make the company a success. Successful guidance can be that someone actually starts as a self-employed person. Success can also mean that someone decides that it is not (yet) a good idea to start their own business. You regularly have a physical appointment with the newcomer and perhaps also have online contact in between. The time investment is 2 to 4 hours per week for a period of approximately six months. During this period you will receive professional guidance and initial training from Vluchtelingenwerk to ensure you are well prepared to start this job.

Further tasks are:

- Guiding the newcomer in training and creating a business plan

- Conducting discussions with the newcomer, supporting them in building a network and finding the necessary information for the business plan

- Report progress in our client tracking system

- Participate in several meetings with fellow labor coaches and the coordinator

What do we ask you?

- Thinking in terms of opportunities and possibilities

- Enterprising and knowledge of entrepreneurship

- Being able to take on a coaching role: and promoting the client's self-reliance

- Being able to adapt communication to a lower language level

- Somewhat flexible in terms of employability

- Have fun taking on this challenge together with a refugee!!

What do we have to offer you?

- A stimulating and challenging working environment with room for personal development and initiative

- Professional support with attention to intercultural differences

- A solid internal knowledge platform and various training courses if you want to broaden your knowledge

- Expenses reimbursement for costs incurred

- Exchange of experiences and knowledge with fellow labor coaches
