Together with a refugee who has difficulty learning the language, you will work at Nu de Toekomst.
What are you going to do?
You'll be working with a gentleman at Nu de Toekomst. Become a Volunteer . You'll be the bridge between Nu de Toekmst and him. He's been working there for a while, but due to the language barrier and his unfamiliarity with doing odd jobs in the Netherlands, it's helpful to have a buddy to help him get started.
With a lot of patience and dexterity, you make it clear what the goal is. It's about enjoying volunteering together. The gentleman has started his integration program. He was a handyman in his own country. However, he's unfamiliar with our tools and machinery.
He's not learning Dutch easily. You support him with his work and learn Dutch as he goes. This is in addition to the language lessons he takes three times a week.
When?
The work is on Friday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. School holidays are free.
Who are we looking for?
Are you incredibly patient? Are you creative in explaining things to someone who doesn't speak much Dutch? Are you handy with DIY? Can you connect completely with others? Then this is for you!
