Summary

Based on connecting communication, you learn to recognize what your limit is and how to indicate it. So that you also stay connected with the resident.

Detailed description

Do you support a resident or family as a volunteer? Then you will probably end up in a situation that you do not like. Do you find it scary to indicate that you don't want something? Will you do it anyway? Or do you say so and then there is a hassle, does the other person get angry? Connecting communication helps you to share honestly how it is for you in such a way that the other person can receive it. Without criticism, judgment or blaming. This workshop helps you set your boundaries without giving the other person the idea that they have done something wrong.

During this two evening training, you will become acquainted with a way of communicating that helps you to stay connected. Marshall Rosenberg is the founder of connecting communication and his ideas form the basis of this training.

During the first evening we will work with your own situation and you will get ideas on how you can set your limits and still stay connected with this person or family.

During the second evening we look back at your own situation and how it turned out, we also look at how you can react if the other person would have liked it differently. How do you talk to the other person so that you can perhaps come to a solution that works for both of you?

And, you can certainly also apply the skills you gain in this training in your private life!

Trainer: Suzanne Nederlof is a trainer in connecting communication. She shares the ideas of Marshall Rosenberg with passion, enthusiasm and care.
