You do the weekly shopping for a resident who is no longer able to do this themselves and for whom assistance from their own environment is not possible.
What are you doing?
- Together with the resident you agree which groceries you will do where and when.
- You also agree on how the payment is arranged (you never take a debit card from the resident).
- Then you pick up the groceries at the supermarket and bring them back. If necessary, you will also help with clearing the groceries.
- You go home with a satisfied feeling ;-)
What do we ask?
You are friendly, loyal, reliable and available for an hour once a week. We ask all volunteers who visit residents' homes to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (free of charge).
What do we offer?
The Volunteer Center Wageningen is a friendly club with 3 part-time employees and many volunteers. You are part of the on-call team. This team consists of volunteers who deal with various requests for help, including shopping.
You can always fall back on one of the part-time employees for questions or signals.
Twice a year we organize an appreciation activity for all volunteers.
