Summary

Everyone should be able to enjoy sports and exercise for a lifetime. A safe sports environment is of great importance.

Detailed description

That seems obvious, but it isn't. In sports, too, there are things that can give a feeling of insecurity or that are experienced as unpleasant. On this evening we pay attention to this and we give sports providers tips and tools to hand.

Social insecurity can manifest itself in various ways. Consider, for example, belittling, bullying, exclusion or sexually undesirable behaviour. Expressions that do not always have to be visible, but that do cause an unpleasant sports climate. All those involved in the sports provider must be able to feel safe and secure, so that they can enjoy sports and/or experience the sport.

NOC*NSF and Volunteer Center Wageningen

The NOC*NSF is happy to help boards and administrators to create a reliable and pleasant sports climate. A climate in which the association shows that the safety of everyone at the club is taken seriously.

The NOC*NSF will discuss this during the inspiration session. How can transgressive behavior be recognized and what role can the NOC*NSF play in this? Wageningen Volunteer Center also discusses this theme and explains what the appointment of a confidential contact person can mean for the club.

High5! Roadmap

The High5! Roadmap. A tool intended for sports directors and volunteers of sports associations that helps to provide insight in a simple way into what an association can do to prevent cross-border behaviour.

Organized by the Sports Council Wageningen, Sports Service De Vallei and the Volunteer Center Wageningen.
