Shopping help for woman around 60 years old

Unfortunately, due to a physical illness, the lady can no longer do her shopping herself. She lives near Albert Heijn and would like to get her groceries from there. She does not reach the minimum amount required for delivery.

What are you doing?

1. She texts the shopping list to you.
2. You advance the amount. You send a payment request or she transfers it.
3. You put groceries on the counter. She puts away the groceries herself.
4. You will go home with a satisfied feeling ;-)

Time

Because she has to distribute her energy evenly throughout the week, she prefers Thursdays between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

You can also do it once a week or every 2 weeks. With the last option, we create a team of 2 volunteers.

What do we ask?

• You are friendly, loyal and reliable.
• You can be available for an hour once a week or 2 weeks on Thursday between 11:30 AM and 3 PM.
• You have a smartphone.
• You are willing and able to advance the groceries.
• We request a Certificate of Good Conduct from all volunteers who come to residents' homes. We will prepare these for you at no cost to you. You are willing to apply for this.

What do we offer?

The Volunteer Center Wageningen is a friendly club with 5 part-time employees and many volunteers. You are part of the on-call team. This team consists of volunteers who respond to various requests for help, which also includes shopping.

You can always fall back on one of the part-time employees if you have any questions or signals. Twice a year we organize a fun activity for all volunteers to show our appreciation and to meet each other.
