Summary

Are you a volunteer and do you often communicate with non-native speakers? Then you will probably experience that the other person does not understand you.

Detailed description

Before you know it you are stuck in a misunderstanding together. Or the conversation stops completely... When you hear yourself talking, you sometimes think 'that sounds quite complicated, how can I make it simpler?' Maybe you switch to 'kid language'? But that doesn't do an adult justice either.

In short, speaking simply is an art!

How do you make short and good sentences so that the other person understands you better? After this training you will have more insight into your own language use and you will be better able to 'switch' to the language level of someone else. We will practice a lot with spoken language, also in situations that you can introduce yourself.

Trainer is Ivonne de Moor. She is a language house teacher at the Digital House Wageningen. Amin Hagouchi is a training actor.
