Vegetable garden volunteer (women) AZC Bosrandweg

The women's group on Bosrandweg has existed for over 3 years now. We meet every week to socialize.

Since July, a small group of women has been working in our own vegetable garden on Wednesday afternoons. It is a lovely place for the women to take their minds off things for a while, and enjoyable conversations arise during the work. Additionally, we take our time to enjoy coffee and tea and catch up with each other. The residents can use the vegetables grown in the garden to cook.

Do you have (a bit of) a green thumb or do you enjoy gardening? And would you like to be involved with women at the asylum seekers' centre? Then we would love to get in touch with you! You would volunteer once a week on Wednesday afternoons (+/- 15:15-17:15) to meet the women and maintain the vegetable garden.

Due to changes in residents at the asylum seekers' centre, the composition of the women changes throughout the year. Volunteers bring stability to the group by being present weekly. You can still sign up even if you cannot be present every week.

• Because the women are practicing Dutch, we ask you to speak as much Dutch as possible during the women's group.
