You know it: you get a flyer pressed into your hands on the street, and unread it disappears in your bag and later with the old paper. The city is full of posters, but you just cycle past it.
For the sender of the flyer and poster, that is a pity about all the trouble: the design, the printing, the paper, the distribution. Sometimes there is a design that catches your eye: because of a catchy headline, a special color combination or something else. A poster or flyer that your gaze rests on for a while. Just those few seconds when the message gets across, or the interest is aroused to continue reading.
This is what I want to achieve with this workshop: That it is your design that is seen!
During the workshop, Dorien Roggekamp will show you design tools that you can use for this, based on various examples. We will also get started with a design assignment ourselves. We do this with paper, scissors, glue and markers.
