We are looking for volunteers to assist with a game, shuffleboard, lawn bowling or to guide a resident individually.
When supporting a game, you'll help with setting up, picking up residents, and serving coffee. You'll also assist with the game itself, such as counting points. You'll also transport residents to their ward. The time is approximately 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
Church volunteers will help residents get to and from church services, which you can also attend yourself. You'll start around 10:30 a.m. that morning, with the service starting at 11:00 a.m. and lasting about 45 minutes. Afterward, residents are escorted back to the church, and the volunteers often stop by for coffee.
You'll then have your turn every six weeks according to a schedule. You can swap with others.
We're also looking for volunteers who are willing to offer individual support, such as chatting or going for walks. This can be done at any agreed-upon time. We can also offer assistance in a home, such as helping with breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.
