About Biologische tuinderij De Stroom

Our organic horticulture De Stroom is located on Landgoed Hemmen in the Overbetuwe.

In this wooded area, we grow a wide variety of vegetables on 3 hectares of light clay soil. We work biologically, so without fertilizers or pesticides. The crops can slowly grow into tasty and healthy vegetables.

In the spring we start with turnip greens, lettuce, spinach and spring onions. In the summer, the carrots, zucchini, green beans and sweetcorn, and tomatoes, aubergines and peppers follow in the tunnel greenhouse. Autumn is the time to bring in celeriac, carrots, beets and cabbages, and in winter we still have leeks, lamb's lettuce, kale and Brussels sprouts on the land. This is just a selection of all the crops we grow.

Most of our products find their way to the customer in the form of vegetable packages: the Hemmense vegetable bag. More than 250 households have a subscription and receive a bag full of freshly harvested vegetables every week.

In addition, vegetables also go to shops in the area, see the Sales points.

On Friday afternoon we have our sale at the farm "De Groentestek".
