About Tuinderij De Stroom

Our organic market garden De Stroom is located on the Hemmen estate in the Overbetuwe.

In this wooded area we grow a wide variety of vegetables on 3 hectares of light clay soil. We work in an organic way, so without artificial fertilizers or pesticides. The crops here can grow peacefully into tasty and healthy vegetables.

In the spring we start with turnip greens, lettuce, spinach and spring onions. In the summer, carrots, zucchini, beans and sweet corn follow, and tomatoes, aubergines and peppers in the tunnel greenhouse. Autumn is the time to bring in celeriac, carrots, beets and cabbages, and in winter we still have leeks, lamb's lettuce, kale and Brussels sprouts in the fields. This is just a selection of all the crops we grow.

Most of our products find their way to the customer in the form of vegetable packages: the Hemmense vegetable bag. More than 250 households have a subscription and receive a bag full of freshly harvested vegetables every week.

In addition, vegetables go to shops in the area, see the points of sale.

On Friday afternoon we have our sale at the farm "De Groentestek".
