Who are we

The Nederrijn Animal Ambulance responds more than 3,600 times a year to help animals in need in the municipalities of Ede, Renkum, Rhenen, Veenendaal, and Wageningen. Our volunteers are available 24/7, 365 days a year!

The animal ambulance's main task is to transport animals in distress. These can be wild animals or captive animals. We also offer paid taxi rides by appointment to locations such as veterinarians, boarding kennels, groomers, or animal shelters.

Function specific information

Our organization has three animal ambulances and an animal transport vehicle. These vehicles travel many kilometers and transport a wide variety of animals. In short, they are used intensively. Hygiene is our top priority, but there isn't always time to clean and restock the ambulances. Do you have an eye for hygiene and don't shy away from physical work? Then we at Dierenambulance Nederrijn are looking for you!

As a fleet facility volunteer, you'll help keep our fleet clean and stocked, ensuring our business cards are always in top condition.

Doing

• Cleaning the cars inside
• Cleaning the outside of the cars
• Replenish the wagons using an inventory list
• Optional: top up fluids such as AdBlue
• And much more! A lot is possible in consultation.

Be able to

• Physical fitness and physical work is no problem
• Working carefully with an eye for safety
• Ability to work independently or with others
• Pre: in possession of a driving license B
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
• At least 20 years

Time Spent

Ideally, the vehicles should be thoroughly serviced twice a month. Since we're just starting this role, we appreciate any help. Much is possible through consultation.
