Vacancy: General Board Member

Nederrijn Animal Care Foundation

The Nederrijn Animal Care Foundation is committed to animal welfare in the municipalities with heart and soul

Renkum, Wageningen, Rhenen, Veenendaal and Ede. With approximately 90 involved volunteers and 4

employees (together good for 2 FTE) we can help animals in need and owners on a daily basis

to support.

Our board plays a crucial role in this: we are ultimately responsible, determine the course and contribute

Together we care for the future of the foundation. To further strengthen our organization and

professionalize, we are looking for a general board member who wants to work with us to build on the

further development of the Nederrijn Animal Care Foundation.


Responsibilities of the board

• The board is ultimately responsible and plays an important role in vision formation, strategy,

objectives and associated action plans.

• Establishing (multi-year) policy and assessing its implementation where necessary

to adjust.

• Determining the budget and the financial policy pursued.

• Maintaining a network with administrators, government (politics) and social

organizations.

• Act as a sounding board for the coordinator, planner, administrative employee and IT

colleague.

• Replace another board member if necessary.

• Approving the general and financial annual report.


General profile of board members

Our board aims to bundle knowledge and experience in the areas of: financial-economic,

organization and services, communication, substantive knowledge and social developments.

We expect a board member to:

• Possesses general management qualities and has an affinity or experience as a manager.

• Actively participates in the management and is committed to management and committee affairs.

• Socially involved, enterprising and decisive, and the mission of the Foundation

Animal care Nederrijn has a warm heart.

• I find it inspiring to work at the policy and vision level and to develop the foundation in that way

to take further.


• Is a team player who communicates effectively, with a balance between critical opposition and

supportive cooperation.

• Can convincingly communicate management policy both within and outside the foundation.

• A good balance between involvement in substantive topics and management on

distance.

• Can act as a sounding board for the coordinator and other board members.

• Acts with integrity and handles confidential information with care, whereby

conflicts of interest are avoided.


Requested time commitment

The board meets approximately six times a year in the evening. In preparation, the documents

About Dierenambulance Nederrijn

The main task of the animal ambulance is to help animals in need. These can be animals from nature, but also found pets, whether injured or not.
