As a school presenter, you visit schools to tell children more about our work at the animal ambulance and how we handle all kinds of animals.

At Dierenambulance Nederrijn, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help provide information at primary schools. Children are the animal rescuers of the future, so we believe it's important to explain what the animal ambulance is and how we care for all kinds of animals. Due to the workload of the ambulance service, our regular volunteers rarely have time for this. Therefore, we're looking for people who would like to contribute voluntarily.

What are you going to do?

  • Providing information to groups 7 of primary schools in our working area
  • Providing information at after-school care centers and childcare facilities or during open days, events and other children's activities

What does a briefing look like?

In the space of one hour we want the children of the school:

  • introduce people to the work of the animal ambulance;
  • explain why it is important that the animal ambulance is there;
  • explain what the purpose of our work is;
  • explain what happens to found and injured animals;
  • provide an opportunity to ask questions;
  • take a look at the animal ambulance.

What are we asking?

  • You have an affinity with children
  • You can handle computers
  • You work independently or together with others
  • You are available at a time that suits you – everything in consultation

What do we offer?

  • You are part of our friendly team of volunteers
  • Volunteer work that really makes a difference
  • Flexibility: you come when it suits you
  • Much appreciation from people (and animals) 🐾

Something for you?

Let us know via [email protected] . We'd love to hear from you!
