Detailed description

Who are we

The Nederrijn Animal Ambulance responds more than 3,600 times a year to help animals in need in the municipalities of Ede, Renkum, Rhenen, Veenendaal, and Wageningen. Our volunteers are available 24/7, 365 days a year!


The animal ambulance's main task is to transport animals in distress. These can be wild animals or captive animals. We also offer paid taxi rides by appointment to locations such as veterinarians, boarding kennels, groomers, or animal shelters.


Function specific information

Our animal ambulance is beautifully located on the edge of the woods, consisting of two buildings and a large area. This means things regularly break, need improvement, or even need to be repaired. Are you handy and enjoy physical work? Then we at Dierenambulance Nederrijn are looking for you!


As a volunteer technician and maintenance worker, you'll help maintain our buildings, equipment, and grounds, ensuring everything is in tip-top condition.


Doing

  • Minor repairs on / to / in the buildings
  • Minor repairs of work materials
  • Building things (for example a bench by the pond)
  • And much more! A lot is possible in consultation.

Time Spent

Flexible schedule: You can come and go as you please. The current technical and maintenance volunteers meet every Wednesday morning. You're also welcome to come at other times.

About Dierenambulance Nederrijn

The main task of the animal ambulance is to help animals in need. These can be animals from nature, but also found pets, whether injured or not. We also drive owners to the vet, boarding house or groomer by appointment. Our working area is in the municipalities of Ede, Renkum, Rhenen and Wageningen,
