You temporarily help a resident of Wageningen to get her / his own administration back in order. In the work we meet many participants who speak Tigrinya. It is precisely for this target group that we are looking for volunteers who speak to Tigrinya.
Job description:
As a volunteer you help to organize and keep financial matters in order. Not once, but weekly. You list the income and expenditure together. You also check which financial arrangements a participant can make use of. Together with the participant you make a clear housekeeping book. With the aim that the participant can then find his / her way back in his / her own administration. The help is for anyone with home administration questions. In the work we meet many participants who speak Tigrinya. It is precisely for this target group that we are looking for volunteers who speak to Tigrinya.
Job requirements:
You speak Tigrinya. It is important that you have an affinity with administration, that you enjoy researching and unraveling things. You will also have to deal with various laws and regulations and / or debt counseling; it is important that you work from the Humanitas values. That you give people a helping hand, so that they can do it independently afterwards. We ask for a certificate of good conduct (VOG).
What do you have to offer the volunteer ?:
We provide an introductory course (E-learning), training and support for volunteers on the Home Administration methodology. Support of a coordinator and intervision of fellow volunteers 1x per 6 weeks.
What makes the work worthwhile ?:
That people regain control of their administration and therefore also their further life.
Working time:
Working hours in consultation, but preferably one or two half-days per week.
