Summary

Short-term role as host/hostess during walk-in consultation hours and direct assistance with simple questions in the financial and administrative field.

Detailed description

This is supported by the professional parties present, such as Social Counselors, Debt Counseling, Startpunt and Humanitas.

What are you going to do?

For residents of the Municipality of Wageningen there is a "walk-in consultation hour for financial matters". This concerns a low-threshold help where people are helped directly with relatively simple questions in the financial-administrative field.

The walk-in money matters is a weekly walk-in on Monday afternoon from 13:00-15:00 at the location 't Palet in Wageningen. The walk-in has facilities such as printing, scanning and copying equipment.

It is a service provided by various partners such as Humanitas Home Administration, Debt Assistance Buddy and Solidez long-term home administration.

Visitors can also use a computer during the walk-in. For support, they are given items such as a folder with tabs, a notebook with pen and a NIBUD agenda.

During the financial affairs walk-in we offer: · Direct help and advice from an (experienced) support worker · Broad demand inventory by a starting point employee · Support by a volunteer in organizing administration, requesting necessary documents and filling in forms · Possibility to make an appointment directly for a home visit to organize administration · Presence of Social Counselors and the municipal Debt Assistance department for targeted, more substantive issues · guidance to additional support by informal or formal parties; The starting point of the walk-in consultation hour is to tackle matters that can be completed within half an hour. If it is estimated that this will take longer, for example due to the complexity of their request for help, an appointment will be made for a conversation with the right support worker. The use of volunteers is in turns and is managed by Humanitas Thuisadministratie in Wageningen.
