Job description:
QUICKLY REQUESTED: On behalf of residents of the Municipality of Wageningen, collaborating Welsaam partners will start a "walk-in Money Affairs consultation hour" at the beginning of September. This concerns low-threshold help where people are helped directly with relatively simple questions in the financial and administrative field. We are still looking for a number of volunteers to help shape this new activity. At the start of the walk-in money affairs, we start with a weekly walk-in on Monday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the 't Palet location in Wageningen. The entrance will be decorated with facilities such as printing, scanning and copying equipment. Visitors can also use a computer during the walk-in. For support, they receive items such as a binder with tabs, a notebook with pen and a NIBUD diary. During walk-in money matters, we offer: Direct help and advice from a (experience expert) supporter Broad question inventory by a starting point employee Support by a volunteer in organizing administration, requesting necessary documents and filling in forms make an appointment for a home visit to organize the administration · Presence of Social Counselors and the municipal debt counseling department for targeted, more substantive issues · guidance towards additional support by informal or formal parties; The starting point of the walk-in consultation hour is to tackle matters that can be completed within half an hour. If it is estimated that this will take longer, for example due to the complexity of their request for help, an appointment is made for a meeting with the right support person. The deployment of volunteers takes turns and is managed by Humanitas Home Administration in Wageningen.
Job requirements:
As a participating volunteer you have administrative skills and you know how to quickly provide support on the spot, using available tools, the internet and / or the knowledge of colleagues present. As a hostess or host, you enjoy rotating in a small team and at fixed times to effectively help residents of Wageningen gain insight into financial-administrative issues. Communication skills and basic skills or good feeling for financial administration.
