Summary
Short-term role as host/hostess during walk-in consultations and direct assistance with simple questions in the financial and administrative field.
Detailed description
This is supported by the professional parties present, such as Social Counselors, Debt Counseling, Startpunt and Humanitas.
What are you going to do?
Residents of the Municipality of Wageningen have a "Money Matters Walk-In" consultation hour. This is an accessible service where people receive immediate assistance with relatively simple financial and administrative questions.
The drop-in financial services center is open weekly on Monday afternoons from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 't Palet in Wageningen. The center offers facilities such as printing, scanning, and copying equipment.
It is a service provided by various partners such as Humanitas Home Administration, Debt Assistance Buddy and Solidez Long-Term Home Administration.
Visitors can also use a computer during the walk-in period. To assist them, they will be provided with items such as a binder with tabs, a notebook with a pen, and a NIBUD diary.
During the financial consultation, we offer: · Direct assistance and advice from a (experienced) support worker · A comprehensive needs assessment by a starting point employee · Support from a volunteer in organizing paperwork, requesting necessary documents, and completing forms · The option to schedule a home visit to organize paperwork · Social Counselors and the municipal Debt Counseling department are available for targeted, more substantive issues · Guidance for additional support from informal or formal parties. The starting point of the consultation is to address matters that can be completed within half an hour. If it is estimated that this will take longer, for example due to the complexity of the request for assistance, an appointment will be made for a meeting with the appropriate support worker. Volunteers are deployed on a rotation basis and are managed by Humanitas Home Administration in Wageningen.
