Contact person
Summary
A contact circle consists of a group of people who contact each other every morning to ask if everything is going well.Detailed description
One of the projects in the field of Well prepared is the Contact Circle. A contact circle consists of a group of people who contact each other every morning to ask if everything is going well. In addition, calling has an alarm function and prevents it from going unnoticed if something is wrong with a participant. If a participant does not answer, the Red Cross volunteer will call a contact person to take a look.
What are you going to do?
You start the circle in turns by calling the first participant. At the end of the circle, the last participant calls you again to close the circle. You contact the participants from home. You have regular contact with the coordinator of the contact circle about the progress of the circle and report special details.
What do we have to offer you?
- A good feeling, because you contribute to the work of the Red Cross;
- Satisfaction because you help to create a sense of security for the mostly elderly participants who live alone;
- You can do your volunteer work from home;
- Collaboration with a team of volunteers;
- Access to the Red Cross online learning environment, where a number of modules are available for you.
What are you taking with you?
- Affinity with the theme of safety and contact;
- Empathy with the target group and good communication skills;
- You can maintain professional distance while showing commitment;
- Availability once every 5 weeks for 1 week in the morning;
- You live in the municipality of Wageningen and are at least 18 years old.
- When you register, you sign a volunteer agreement and a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) will be requested from you.
