Are you available for our members on Friday evening or Saturday morning to lend and collect toys?
The Speel-o-theek is open every Friday evening from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturday morning from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Members can then come and borrow and return their toys. Volunteers are asked about their availability every quarter and you can indicate when you want to work. You will be scheduled on average once every three weeks.
As a volunteer you will be present half an hour in advance to make preparations and set out reserved toys. During opening hours you will speak to our members, collect the toys and check whether everything is complete and tidy. You check out the toys that are brought along. You process this and any administrative actions directly in our online lending system.
You also welcome new members and help them register if necessary. Of course there is also time for a chat. There is always a key person with experience present. At the end of the opening you help clean everything up and close it again.
