As a coordinator at the Vallei & Veluwe Animal Food Bank Foundation, you are a true jack-of-all-trades and the spider in the web!
You are the first point of contact for the location managers and volunteers of a number of distribution locations, and you support the senior coordinator.
We currently have a total of five distribution locations, but we will coordinate the number of locations under your responsibility together. You will be coached by the senior coordinator. Together with the senior coordinator, the location managers and volunteers, you ensure that everything is arranged at the distribution points to ensure that the biweekly distributions run smoothly. You are the connecting link between the board, the location managers and volunteers of the locations.
What are your responsibilities?
- You are responsible for the assigned locations (growing according to experience). In addition, you work as a backup for the senior coordinator for the other locations.
- You are the first point of contact for the location managers and volunteers of the assigned locations;
- Keep track of (practical) questions from volunteers and ensure that they are answered;
- In consultation with the local team of volunteers, you support the locations in ensuring sufficient stock of distribution materials;
- You are a true jack-of-all-trades. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, you also maintain the central warehouse in Wageningen together with the senior coordinator. Furthermore, you help with PR activities where necessary, such as handing out flyers. You collect (together or alone) large donations, and every now and then you go to Stichting Dierenlot;
- You perform various manual and auxiliary duties on a weekly basis, together with the senior coordinator;
- You are the connecting link between the board and the volunteers;
- You monitor the agreed processes, procedures and decisions, and address people if these are not followed;
- Identifying new developments at the locations and taking action where necessary;
- Attend meetings such as general meetings, location management meetings and (internal) events as much as possible.
We are looking for:
- Someone who identifies with and acts according to our core values: Reliable, helpful and committed;
- Someone with courage, who stands firm and dares to engage in discussions when necessary, both internally within our foundation and externally to our customers;
- Someone with a heart for pet welfare;
- Someone with flexible availability (everything in consultation);
- Someone for a longer period of time (at least 6 months);
- Someone with a lot of passion and 'hands-on' commitment;
- Someone with the power to convey the foundation's mission and vision to the volunteers and our customers;
- Someone with a great solution-oriented ability;
- Someone with a driver's license and own transportation. However, in consultation, the transportation of our foundation can also be used.

Dierenvoedselbank Vallei en Veluwe is a charitable organization that has been dedicated since 2016 to supporting people in that region who live below the poverty line together with their pet(s), and are therefore unable to fully feed and care for their pets. This is a group that often lives in social isolation and for whom the pet holds great emotional value.
We provide supplementary pet food and supplies so that owners can responsibly keep and care for their pets. Additionally, we assist our clients with advice, information, and education, and mediate where necessary.
With a helpful, reliable, and committed team of volunteers, we operate regionally from our distribution locations in Wageningen, Ede, Renkum, Rhenen, and Veenendaal. As a result, over 500 separations between owners and pets due to financial reasons have been prevented in recent years. Dierenvoedselbank Vallei en Veluwe is a non-profit organization, but holds ANBI status.
