Welcome visitors to Thuis Wageningen. As a host, you keep Thuis open for a half day a week, receive people, show them the space and tell them what Thuis is.Detailed description
People come to Thuis to work, drink coffee, join activities or have questions about how to start their own initiative. As a host, you are a familiar face and point of contact for them. You are part of a team of other hosts.
What will you do?
- Show visitors around
- Maintain the atmosphere in the Stadskamer
- Explain to visitors what they can share
- (Together) ensure that the Stadskamer looks neat and tidy
- Tell the story of Thuis
- Receiving donations and settling the books
- Making coffee, tea and set out the cups
- Play a nice music list ;)
- Chatting with various visitors
- There is often space to do your own thing, like knitting something or reading

You like to make connections between people, are hospitable and independent.

You will be part of a nice team of Thuismakers. We offer you a nice workplace where there is room for your own ideas and talents. Volunteer compensation in consultation possible.
What makes the work worthwhile?
You come into contact with many different people and by working at Thuis you know what is going on in society. As a host you make sure that Thuis can be open. For many residents of the city Thuis is a valuable place.
Working hours:
Dayparts/parts in consultation:
Mondays-Fridays between 08:45 - 12:30 or 12:30 - 17:15.
